I Am Rich
I am rich in Good Health.
I am rich in Love.
I am rich in Freedom.
I am rich in Happiness.
I am rich in Peace.
I am rich in Family.
I am rich in Friends.
I am rich in heart.
God has given us so many Blessings. Everywhere your eye can see there are Blessings for us to enjoy. Such Blessings include the sun to warm our skin, the breeze to blow our hair, wonderful smells to enlighten our senses, stories to warms our hearts, music to move our feet, and food to speak to our souls.
Why on earth would anyone think of themselves as anything less than rich? The answer is simple. There are many differentiations of the term rich. For example, the definition of rich is to have a great deal of money or assets. According to the Wall Street Journal, a net worth of $1.4 Million will put you in the top 5% of Americans. Yet, the wealthy today view this figure as chump change. This just goes to show you we all view being rich differently.
I decided to take this to Facebook by posting the question, “Are you Rich?” I assumed everyone would discuss their current financial status. I expected comments such as, “I’m in-between jobs, my bills are skyrocketing, or I’m barely making ends meet”. To my amazement, everyone discussed how rich they are in life.

So I know without a shadow of a doubt all my kids and grandchildren love me and I love them back! :))

I take my daughter to a school with her in nice clothes and shoes on her feet. I get into a car and drive where I need to go... I'm not walking. I am rich because God has blessed me. Be blessed to be a blessing to others. Americans forget just how rich we are.... I am rich with love and freedom, opportunity. :)
For the record, I’m not saying money doesn’t matter because it does. If you do not have a suitable income you would not have a roof over your head, clothes on your back or food on the table. I personally seek the need to relax and enjoy life with what I presently have. Learn to claim your present moment by fully enjoying the richness of what’s all around you. It’s been there all along. Wow...this site invokes some intense thinking. I'm overwhelmed with mixed emotions. I wanted to comment simply because your name was dropped by my girlfriend who has brushed shoulders with you, and I'm thinking, 'Man, I should be dating someone like her.' Being the curious & inquisitive person that I instinctively am, I immediately searched Jacinda online trying to gain insight as to how I can get a girl like that. Stumbled upon the FOX site, observed photos, and concluded that I need some serious cash flow. Proceeded to this site, and the 1st post directly reflects the inverse of what I was thinking 2 minutes prior. I envisioned myself with someone else while I have something beautiful in front of me all the while. It seemed relevant to comment as this one scenario illustrates several themes that appear in your posts; meaning of wealth, always wanting more, insecurity. Kind of wished she never mentioned you as I was relatively content & focused...now I'm second guessing and confused.

We're like I have to go to work so I can make money to pay for this and buy that. It's a neverending circle... But God put us here to enjoy life. So instead of driving ourselves crazy in thinking we need all these things. Stop and smell the flowers. There are so many wonderful things around us. Sometimes we miss our Blessings even when it's right in front of us. ReplyDeleteI am blessed as well. I try not to base my Blessings on things or people, Although the Lord has given me a wonderful wife, and 3 grown daughters that also serve the Lord in local churches. Don't have much money, but if like Job, I lost everything and everyone that I love, I would still be blessed. My blessings are based on what Jesus did for us on the cross at Calvary, and the promises that God gives us in and through His Word, Jesus. I hope your Blessings are based on the finish work of Jesus.
